Sea English Academy provides English courses for students of all levels of English proficiency. Classes range from beginner to advanced, with a focus on teaching the communicative skills of speaking and listening as well as reading, writing and grammar. This course is for students interested in improving their English in a wider, general context, whether it is for their career, travel or social activities. Students work as individuals, small groups or as a whole class on a range of activities to encourage, develop and enhance their language learning experience. On the day of enrollment, students are given a detailed placement test to assess their level of English and ensure they are enrolled in the appropriate class. Students are assessed throughout the course of their study to monitor their progress.

IELTS / TOEFL Preparation Courses
TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) test is recognized by more than 8,500 colleges, universities and agencies in more than 130 countries, including United States, Australia, Canada and the U.K. The TOEFL test helps prove you have the English skills you will actually use in an academic classroom and measures all four skills students need to communicate: reading, listening, speaking and writing. TOEFL scores are used as an indicator of a students’ readiness to communicate effectively and handle academic coursework.
IELTS (The International English Language Testing System) is now recognized by more than 7,000 organizations including educational institutions, employers, professional associations and governments, in 135 countries around the world, including United States, Australia, Canada and the U.K. IELTS covers all the main varieties of English so that students coming to study in the U.S. are accustomed to a wide variety of accents and ways of speaking English. The test covers four language skills – speaking, listening, reading and writing – in different contexts, meaning learners aren’t just ready for American English in the classroom but have the flexibility to deal with English in all kinds of contexts. IELTS provides a profile of a candidate’s ability to use English. An ESL student wanting to study in an IELTS class needs to be at an intermediate level in English.
IELTS for Academic Purposes – Institutions of Higher and Further Education
The Academic format is, broadly speaking, for those who want to study or train in an English-speaking university or Institutions of Higher and Further Education. Admission to undergraduate and postgraduate courses is based on the results of the Academic test.
IELTS for General Training Purposes – for school, work or migration
The General Training format focuses on basic survival skills in broad social and workplace contexts. It is typically for those who are going to English-speaking countries to do secondary education, work experience or training programs.
Certificate in English or General English
General English Classes are for students wanting to improve their English but do not need to achieve a specific level to be able to attend University or vocational training. Classes range from beginner through to advanced.
English for Business Purposes
Business English classes are focused on specific needs of the Business community. In an ESL situation students should be around an intermediate level before attending these classes.In an EFL situation for example you might get employers wanting Business English classes for their employees. The English level of employees will very within any particular group. The teachers will have to design lessons for each group and may even have to start by teaching the basics of English, as in General English classes, first. It is often seen as prestigious to be in a “Business English Class”.
ESP Classes / EAP Classes
ESP (English for Specific Purposes) classes are to teach industry specific English to a groups e.g., medical or aviation etc. Classes and vocabulary are tailor made to focus on the specific industry of the students. EAP (English for Academic Purposes)
